Judging by his joy, one would think that he himself had won the title of NBA champion. At the Knicks parade on Thursday June 18 in New York, Timothée Chalamet once again stole the show from the basketball players.
The Franco-American actor has become the unofficial mascot of the New York team for several weeks. A longtime Knicks fan, he attended almost every game until the final against the San Antonio Spurs and seemed as happy as the athletes about their victory.
During the parade in the streets of New York, Timothée Chalamet even had a pride of place on a blue and orange float, in the colors of the champions. As seen in the video at the top of the articlehe knew how to heat up the crowd, launching chants in honor of the Knicks and screaming into the microphone until his voice broke.
The actor of Dune wasn’t the only celebrity present at the parade. Ben Stiller was also there, to film a documentary on the Knicks. And singer Alicia Keys closed the ceremony in front of City Hall, performing Empire State of Mindhis cult song from 2009, a true ode to the city of New York. Timothée Chalamet, aka Lil Timmy Tim, didn’t attempt to rap Jay Z’s verses.
