The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region is organizing the first edition of the Festival du Bien-Manger on the square in front of the Hôtel de Région in Confluence. Producers, chefs and the general public are invited to celebrate local flavors and sectors together.
It’s a gourmet event accessible to all. On June 19 and 20, the square in front of the Hôtel de Région, in Confluence, is transformed into a temple of regional gastronomy for the very first edition of the Festival du Bien-Manger. Free entry, varied entertainment and live Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes producers: the event, sponsored by gastronomic critic Emmanuelle Jary, displays clear ambitions, showing that eating well is a social issue as much as a pleasure.
Friday June 19, the day is primarily aimed at professionals, with conferences and round tables on food sovereignty, health and the democratization of healthy eating. The general public can also participate by registering. The morning ends with the presentation of a regional recipe book, before at the end of the afternoon the BOX Region is launched in partnership with the brand “My region, its terroirs”.
Saturday June 20, open to the general public from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Inside, masterclasses bring together chefs around six themes, seasonal vegetables, mountain fish, exceptional farms, pastries with regional fruits, AOP cheeses, with tastings included. Hotel high school battles also liven up the day.
Outside, 25 local producers offer jams, cheeses, sausages, honey, wines and beers for sale. Free workshops allow you to create an aperitif board, make a smoothie by bike or visit a dairy farm in virtual reality.
