From June 30 to September 25, 2026, the Ciné Plein Air festival returns to locations throughout the city for a monumental 31st edition. Guest on Maritima Radio, Zélie Cougourdan, coordinator of the event, revealed an eclectic program traveling between Hollywood classics, Italian gems and animated cinema. From the Opera to the Mucem, via the Panier, discover the complete guide to this summer under the stars.

A record number of sessions in 26 emblematic locations

For this new edition, the festival is thinking big.“We are offering 42 sessions this year, from June 30 to September 25, and we will be in 26 different locations throughout Marseille”explains Zélie Cougourdan at Laurent Coureau’s microphone.

The concept remains true to its roots: total freeness and user-friendliness.“It’s free and without reservation. You can watch the program on the site and social networks, choose your film, and come with your picnic, your camping chair or your small mat to settle in the chosen location”specifies the coordinator.

A program for all tastes: from Hitchcock to Ice Age

The DNA of the festival lies in its diversity. This year again, the selection oscillates between cult films and auteur cinema. Among the highlights, an exceptional preview will be held onJuly 1st at Mucem with the projection of“Electric Set”a biopic about the legendary Egyptian singer Oum Kalthoum.

Zélie Cougourdan underlines this desire to vary pleasures: “You can also find what you’re looking for by going to see a cult and popular film like Ice Age, discovering a Hitchcock classic like ‘La Mort aux Trouss’ at the Théâtre Silvain, or learning about auteur cinema with a lot of Italian films this summer. HAS”

Marseille from a new angle: new places to discover
