Me Christophe Ingrain talks about his relationship with women

Me Christophe Ingrain explained that Patrick Bruel “answered all questions, as accurately as possible” and that he “is perfectly aware that this is only the beginning of the investigation, he will defend himself until the end.”

Placed in police custody on Wednesday, the singer spent “a difficult time” according to his lawyer: “He was summoned less than three months after the first press articles, on facts more than 20 years old, sometimes 30 or 35 years old. But he was relieved to be able to explain himself, to be able to provide elements and testimonies.”

Patrick Bruel’s lawyer was also questioned about his client’s relationship with women. He replied that the artist “spoke publicly on this subject”. He explained that notoriety, or position, can bias the relationship of seduction and that he understands this he continues, “he also expressed his regrets for the suffering that he read in some of these stories.”

Patrick Bruel would be ready to be confronted with Flavie Flament

On BFM TVanother of the singer’s lawyers, Me Fanny Colin, explained this Thursday that, if there were new complaints filed, “they will be welcomed and examined” and the singer “will answer all questions about them again”. She also assured that her client “n’aura aucune difficulté à être confronté” to the women who accuse him, “including Flavie Flament”. The host of France Télévisions indeed filed a complaint against the singer and accused him of having drugged and raped her when she was only 16 years old, in Paris. She declared this Wednesday that she was “serene and satisfied” with the singer’s indictment.

She also specified that Patrick Bruel has “certain obligations” due to his judicial control, but that he “is not, however, prohibited from practicing his profession, from performing or from giving a concert if he wishes”.
