The young American star created an event this weekend during his highly anticipated visit at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona. In front of a delirious crowd, Olivia Rodrigo invited one of his biggest idols on stage: Robert Smiththe iconic leader of The Cure. Together, they performed for the very first time live their new duet called What’s Wrong With Me.Â
This event title will appear prominently on the singer’s third album, entitled You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Lovewhose worldwide release is scheduled for this Friday June 12. I’m in heaven.” This admiration is completely reciprocal, since the veteran of British gothic rock has never hidden his appreciation for the work of the young artist, whom he had already joined on stage during the legendary Glastonbury festival last year.

This improvised concert in the heart of the Big Apple killed two birds with one stone: it was a great way to officially launch the Pride Month festivities, very dear to the artist, while ensuring spectacular promotion for the imminent release of his new record, Confessions IIexpected in the bins next July 3.
