The Camargo Foundation will host Thursday June 11, at 9 p.m., a unique creation bringing together the singer Awa Ly, the cellist Lucie Cravero and the philosopher Souleymane Bachir Diagne for a unique evening at the crossroads of jazz and thought.
A unique evening offered as part of the Metropolitan Route organized by the Marseille jazz festival of the five continents with the support of the Camargo Foundation.
Concert, poésie et réflexion
Known for her musical universe nourished by jazz, folk, soul and West African rhythms, Awa Ly will deploy a sensitive and deeply spiritual sound palette. Lucie Cravero’s cello will enrich this unique atmosphere, while Souleymane Bachir Diagne, a major figure in contemporary thought, will bring his words and reflections around the universal, dialogue and sharing.
The result of a one-week artistic residency, this unique encounter will be a suspended moment where disciplines respond and intertwine. Between concert, poetry and reflection, the public will be invited to live an immersive experience in a setting conducive to listening and communication in an exceptional setting facing the sea.
