On Saturday June 20, Varaire will host the very first edition of the Vrai Repaire Music Festival. After eight years of organizing the Vrai Repaire festival, the association is opening a new chapter.
Designed as a true collective experience, the event will begin at 4 p.m. with workshops for children, a writing workshop led by a guest artist as well as an artisanal market bringing together creators, bookstores, ceramics, jewelry and clothes.
On the music side, ten artists and collectives will perform on two stages continuously until 3 a.m., with an eclectic program combining live concerts and DJ sets. Among the scheduled artists: Myasara, Victor Janvier, Petitcopek, Cinq Oreilles, Inflatable Dead Horse, Fun Fun Funeral, Canes Venatici, Lotkon, Serious Freud and Batufraka.
This year, the Vrai Repaire is developing a scenographic universe around the theme of the enchanted forest. A large part of the installations and decorations are created collectively by volunteers using recycled materials, fabrics and objects mainly from donations and resource centers such as Emmaüs.
Through this approach, the event wishes to defend a popular, creative and accessible festival, where music, crafts and imagination meet in a spirit of sharing.
