BASEBALL. At the initiative of its co-owner, comedian Philippe Laprise, the Big Bill of Coaticook will once again present its Celebrity Match, on June 13, at the Julien-Morin stadium.

This third version of the sporting event will adopt a new formula this year. “Rather than offering a meeting between players and artists, the two teams will rather be created through a draft,†explains Big Bill head coach Jonathan Breton.

Coach Phil and Coach Breton will therefore take turns choosing their teammates. “We think that this will make for a slightly more competitive match and a better show for the fans,†mentioned Mr. Breton.

A few days before the event, the organization had not yet revealed the lineup of “celebrities†who were going to join the event, but we promise “a nice lineup†, as in the past.

Proud partner of the Coaticook Minor Baseball Association, the Big Bill will present to the crowd the winners of the local Triple Game Challenge, which will take place on the same day at Laurence Park.

Tickets for the Celebrity Match are available at a cost of $20 and $15 for young people under 12, via the training’s social networks. It will also be possible to purchase it the same day of the event, at a cost of $30.

The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. In case of rain, it will be postponed until the next day, at the same time.
