This summer, there is no shortage of cinema outings. After the feature film festival which took place on the Croisette, the advent of some of them such as “The Electric Venus”, “Parallel Stories” or even “The Object of the Crime”, the summer period continues with a handful of films that we can’t wait to discover.
The films not to be missed this summer 2026 at the cinema
On the program for the coming months: Steven Spielberg’s new blockbuster, “Disclosure Day”, with an XXL cast made up of Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth and Colman Domingo; but also that of Christopher Nolan, “The Odyssey”, with an equally prestigious cast including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya and Robert Pattinson.
Another big name in directing: Ridley Scott with “The Dog Stars” which stars Jacob Elordi and Margaret Qualley.
As for French releases, we’re waiting until the release of “Caprices of the Child King”, “De la Comédie-Française” and “L’inconnue” with Léa Seydoux and Niels Schneider.
For some family time, obviously bet on “Toy Story 5” and “Minions and Monsters”.
As for foreign cinema, we can’t wait to discover “Fjord”, winner of the Palme d’Or 2026 with Sebastian Stan and Renate Reinsve. But also “Suddenly”, worn by Virginie Efira and Tao Okamoto, both rewarded with the female performance prize.
