“An easy woman to love”: Keanu Reeves’ pretty declaration of love to his partner Alexandra Grant

A fulfilling love. Saturday May 30, 2026, Keanu Reeves was at the 2026 gala of the Museum of Contemporary Art, in Los Angeles, with his partner, the visual artist Alexandra Grant, with whom he has been dating since 2019. The couple spoke to the magazine PEOPLE about the positive influence their love had on their respective art.Â

A “more joyful” art

At the Museum of Contemporary Art, Keanu Reeves was questioned about the assertion that Alexandra Grant was “an easy woman to love.” Answer from the person concerned: “Yes”. Then asked about the way in which his art was transformed by their story, the actor of John Wick was rather reserved, saying that he “doesn’t know if that’s the case.”

For her part, Alexandra Grant, whose works are exhibited in the United States and whose first exhibition took place within the museum itself, has noticed an evolution.

“I would say that all painting is autobiographical, even if, in abstraction, there does not seem to be a major narrative. But I would say without hesitation that my paintings become more joyful“, a-t-elle déclaré. 

Friends before love

Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant have known each other for many years. When they began their love story in 2019, they had already known each other for almost eight years.

Both have carried out joint projects over the years, particularly in publishing. They first collaborated on the work Ode to Happiness in which Keanu Reeves wrote and Alexandra Grant produced the illustrations, before renewing the experience in 2016 with Shadow. In 2017, they finally created their publishing house, X Artists’ Books. 

Very discreet, the couple only appears on certain occasions during well-chosen events. In 2023, Keanu Reeves had, however, indulged in some confidences with the magazine PEOPLE. “I spent my last moment of happiness a few days ago with my sweetheart. In bed, we were connected. We were smiling, laughing, giggling. We felt good. It was really nice to be together,” he said. A relationship full of tenderness and very touching.
