This Saturday, May 30, from 3 p.m. to midnight, the high school students’ house at the Jean-Vilar establishment is organizing, on the sports plateau, the first edition of “Festivilar”, an inter-high school music festival.
This is a first in the sector. This event, which is the fruit of a year of hard work on the part of young boys and girls, new to the event, promises to be a great success as the program proposed is rich and should satisfy the most demanding tastes. In addition to high-quality musical practice, in line with the ten previous editions of the Vilar Music Project, with three concerts of current music given by passionate students of Jean Vilar and Aubanel, the FestiVilar will highlight eco-responsibility and AIDS prevention and VSS (Sexist and Sexual Violence) in the spotlight by exploiting the specialties and skills of eco delegates and ST2S (health and social) terminal students. They were trained by the Aides Avignon association, which will hold a stand on site with the class and to which the organizers will make a donation at the end of the event.
Queen & Eddy Pretto
In honor of the cause and Avignon Pride which will be held on the same day, students wanted to speak and perform songs by Eddy de Pretto and Queen. An exceptional partnership with Smictom (Joint Union for the Collection and Treatment of Household Waste) will also allow eco delegates to raise public awareness of selective sorting. Stalls selling second-hand clothes, games, photos, Amnesty International and the Lion’s Club (one of the sponsors of this festival) and food trucks will be present all afternoon and evening. To ensure the success of this festival and equip themselves with the means to match its ambition, the organizers have obtained the support of the town halls of Villeneuve and that of Aramon. Financial support from the state, the Gard department, the Caf and the MSA has already been announced while also awaiting help from the region and national education. In short, this festival presents itself under the best auspices, all that remains is for the public to come in large numbers to discover the talents of tomorrow and applaud them!
