Accused of rape and sexual violence, Patrick Bruel maintains his line of defense and denies any act without consent. To support him, the singer relies on three experienced lawyers. Among them, Céline Lasek, a criminal lawyer experienced in sensitive media cases. At his side, Fanny Colin and Christophe Ingrain complete a defense accustomed to cases with high exposure.
Accused of rape and sexual violence, singer Patrick Bruel remains on the same line of defense. He says he has never forced a woman without her consent. He has three lawyers, including one, Céline Lasek, who is used to defending personalities in similar cases.
Starting with Jean-Marc Morandini, French host and producer, convicted of corruption of minors and for messages of a sexual nature sent to adolescents, Lilian Lefebvre explained this morning on bel RTL. She is also the one who defends Yannick Agnel, the former French Olympic swimming champion… tried for rape of his coach’s daughter, 13 years old at the time of the events.
At the Paris bar since 2001, Céline Lasek has in fact distinguished herself from her beginnings in the case of Bertrand Cantat, the singer of Noir Désir, convicted of the murder of his partner Marie Trintignant. She then traveled to Lithuania, where the trial was taking place. Since then, she has had a string of sulphurous and highly publicized cases. Example again recently with that of Pierre Palmade and the accident he caused in 2023.
In a podcast from our colleagues at TF1, she admits to “fleeing the media”, believing that it is a way of gaining notoriety to the detriment of her clients.
In the method
Passionate about legal cases and serial killers, she explains that she has attended trials since she was little. What does she like about her job? “It’s because we’re bored of nothing,” she says. She considers that each case is different and is totally involved in her cases. You have to have a good dinner, a good night’s sleep… in short, completely immerse yourself in it, she says again.
At his side in the defense of Patrick Bruel, there are two other big names: another woman, Fanny Colin, described as an energetic, strong and fighting lawyer. Among his best-known clients, Ibrahim Malhouf, the director Christophe Ruggia and the footballer Achraf Hakimi. Finally, we have a man to complete Bruel’s defense: Christophe Ingrain, the criminal lawyer who defended the former minister, Eric Dupont-Moretti, and that of the former president, Nicolas Sarkozy.
