Alain Prost victim of a violent home-jacking at his home in Switzerland: the ex-pilot injured in the head

Alain Prost was the victim of a violent attack at his home in Nyon, SwitzerlandTuesday morning. According to the Swiss media Blickseveral hooded individuals allegedly managed to break into his residence located near Lake Geneva around 8:30 a.m., as part of an attempted burglary. The four-time world champion, aged 71, would have been directly confronted by the intruders, which would have given rise to a physical altercation during which he suffered a head injury.

According to the first elements reported, the attackers also attacked the other members present at Alain Prost’s home. Under duress, one of Alain Prost’s sons would have been forced to open a safe. The exact amount of the damage has not yet been communicated. The criminals then fled, while the situation was still difficult to clarify in detail.

Ongoing investigation and reinforced system

An investigation was opened by the Swiss authorities, who deployed a major search system in the Nyon region in order to find the perpetrators of this attack. As a precautionary measure, cooperation with the French gendarmerie was also activated, the police fearing a possible flight towards the border.
