La Calandreta celebrates the Music Festival with a grand traditional ball

Sunday June 21, in Bagnères-de-Bigorre (at 1, rue Alphonse-Cazes), the Escola Calandreta de Banheras is organizing its big annual trad ball on the occasion of the Music Festival and invites, from 8 p.m., the Duo Bolbena! Like the clayey earth particularly prized by master ceramicists from which it takes its original name, this duo unique was formed on the banks of the Tarn, born from the artistic meeting between Myriam Jourdane and Maxime Juniet. The music and songs of oral transmission from here and elsewhere are thus revisited and enriched with their own compositions within their vast dance repertoire.

With varied instrumentation, the duo creates a particularly warm and catchy sound universe, brilliantly mixing melodic finesse and rhythmic energy. Carried by the deep desire to bring life to life danse popular and to share a festive moment, the two artists explore local traditions while sometimes reinventing them. Their musical complicity invites the public on a vibrant journey between the traditions of yesterday and the dances of today.

On site, participants will be able to eat (meat and vegetables à la plancha, homemade waffles) and quench their thirst at the refreshment bar set up for the event. Join us from 6 p.m. if you feel like it for a first part dedicated to songs : the children of the school, the famous Montagnard Singers and the singers by Clait Vallon will follow one another. Finally, extend the pleasure after the balsince a rock group will conclude the evening.
