It is the director to whom we owe the films Les Miserables or even Athenawho chose the one we nickname “ the heist of the century » as the subject of his next film. Alongside Simon Jacquet (North Bac) et Mourad Winter (Love is overrated), he is working on a screenplay that we should see adapté à l’écran d’ici 2028as revealed by our colleagues from French Film. A spectacular heist in seven minutes

On October 19, 2025, nine jewels and crown jewels of France — emerald necklace, diadem and sapphire set of Queen Marie-Amélie and Queen Hortense, brooch of Empress Eugenie… — were stolen in the Apollo gallery of the Louvre. The burglary took place in an organized gang, in the space of seven minutes only. The criminals entered the museum using a telescopic arm and a grinder. Alone the crown of Empress Eugenie that the criminals caused to fall, has, to this day, been found. In total, it is estimated that 88 million euros worth of jewelry was stolen. Work to strengthen the security of the museum will begin.
