The Narbonnaise association Odyssée Musique presented a support check to the Association of Mayors of Aude in order to help the municipalities affected by fires during the summer of 2025.
The official presentation of the check took place in Trèbes between Christian Bouquet, president of Odyssée Musique, and Éric Ménassi, president of the Association of Mayors of Aude. This solidarity initiative follows an audition of student musicians from the Music Center organized on March 28 at the Château de Montplaisir.
Thanks to the mobilization of students, families, volunteers and the public who came to attend this musical evening, the association was able to collect funds intended for the affected communities. “This contribution remains modest (€300), but we hope that it will provide useful help and encourage other surges of solidarity“, a souligné Christian Bouquet.
“A message of support and solidarity”
Very committed to charitable actions, the Odyssée Musique association regularly carries out initiatives combining culture and solidarity. For its members, it was important “to provide concrete support to the Aude communes devastated by the fires, which left serious consequences on the territory “. To follow up on the Corbières fire in August 2025, the Association of Mayors of Aude has set up a solidarity fund to financially support hard-hit communities.
Éric Ménassi was keen to welcome this generous approach: “On behalf of the Association of Mayors of Aude and the municipalities affected by the fires, I warmly thank the Odyssée Musique association for this outpouring of solidarity.
Behind this donation, there is above all a message of support and solidarity which matters enormously.
Through this gesture, the volunteers of the association wanted to show their solidarity towards the inhabitants of the department and remind us that music can also be a vector of generosity and sharing.
