If you follow “Mask Singer” and “The Voice”, there is a change this week. The new stage of “The Voice” is broadcast this Friday evening. For what reason? We’ll explain it to you.

TF1 is shaking up the habits of its viewers this week. The fault… Eurovision. The European song contest is however broadcast on a competing channel, France 2, on Saturday at 9 p.m. And it’s a guaranteed audience success. 5.28 million people watched Eurovision last year, a market share of 40%. A year earlier, Eurovision had attracted 5.4 million viewers.

For this reason, TF1 preferred not to exhibit “The Voice” in head-to-head competition with Eurovision, even if the channel did not officially provide an explanation. The show would have lost some of its followers. “The Voice” is exceptionally broadcast this Friday evening instead of “Mask Singer”. Camille Combal’s show is not shifted to another time slot since it is simply absent from the program schedule. She will return to the air next Friday.

In “The Voice” this Friday evening, the candidates will face an unprecedented stage in the history of the show: the “Performances”. Fifteen candidates will have carte blanche to seduce their coach, Florent Pagny, Amel Bent, Lara Fabian or Tayc. Choice of song, choreography, decor… they will have carte blanche.

M6 made an equivalent choice by preferring to bring forward the final of the game “Les Traitors” to Thursday May 14. Comedian Issa Doumbia and TV host Adriana Karembeu won.

Faced with Eurovision on Saturday evening, TF1 chose to rebroadcast an issue of the “Grand Contest” hosted by Arthur. Many guests will answer general culture questions in a good mood: Az, Patrick Chanfray, Laurie Cholewa, Sophie Davant, Roman Doduik, Agustin Galiana, Anne-Sophie Girard, Gus, Marianne James, Frank Leboeuf, Jean-Luc Lemoine, Caroline Margeridon, Laurie Peret, Yoann Riou, Anne Roumanoff, Tareek, Sylvie Tellier, Titoff and Julia Vignali.
