If Catherine Zeta-Jones seems to have been surprised by the renovation of the building since her first visit last November, she was recently seen on the arm of her husband visiting the premises. Now 81 years old, Michael Douglas is in fact on site to shoot the new White Liesdirected by Oliver Stone and scheduled to hit theaters in 2028. Earlier in the week, the couple tried to go unnoticed, wearing caps and sunglasses. Catherine Zeta-Jones even had a headgear from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games for around twenty euros, which she combined with a Chanel bag for 4,500 euros. “After inspecting the property on Wednesday, they then had dinner at the San Marco restaurant, both enjoying spaghetti,” reports the Mail on Sunday.
Large choice of properties
This new purchase therefore marks a new addition to their extensive list of properties around the world. During their 25 years of marriage, the couple acquired property in Spain, Canada, Bermuda and even New York. For now, they live primarily on a 1,000-square-foot riverfront estate in Irvington, which has eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. A house, however, put up for sale almost two years ago and which is now struggling to sell, reports the magazineHello . First announced at $12 million, the price was lowered several times and the announcement suspended, before reappearing on March 19 at $9.75 million. It remains to be seen whether this new Roman pied-à-terre will become their favorite address, or simply one more destination on the long list of their luxurious residences.
