This Sunday, May 10, Natalie Portman shared several photos from a day spent in the French capital with her mother, Shelley Stevens, on the occasion of American Mother’s Day.

A sunset on the Seine, an exhibition at the Grand Palais… Natalie Portman never stops sharing photos of her new life in France. This Sunday, May 10, was for a very special occasion. Like many American stars, the actress who has just announced her pregnancy, celebrated Mother’s Day. She notably published several photos of her and her mother, Shelley Stevens, during a Parisian day. In the first photo, the two women take a selfie against the backdrop of the sunset over the Seine. In the other images, Natalie Portman compiled several works of art observed during the exhibition dedicated to Hilma af Klint. We find the two women in the last photo, side by side in the middle of the Grand Palais.

“The greatest luck of my life was to have had my mother for a mother. She is the most caring, caring, interesting, talented, generous, funny and joyful person I know,” she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post. “Happy birthday to her and to all the incredible mothers around us! I also couldn’t imagine a better way to spend this day than at the Grand Palais exhibition dedicated to Hilma ad Klint, the mother of abstraction, spiritualism and the occult! If you’re in Paris, it’s a must.”

Natalie Portman is not the only one to have paid tribute to her mother this Sunday, May 10. On Instagram, Céline Dion published a photo of her and her mother, Thérèse Tanguay. “Mom, your strength, your tenderness and your love made me who I am. You are always by my side… you guide me in silence, and your presence is so deeply felt in my life and in that of your grandchildren,” she wrote in the caption of the photo. “As the mother of René-Charles, Nelson and Eddy, I am reminded every day how powerful this love is… and how beautifully it is transmitted through everything we do.” Barack Obama paid tribute to his wife, mother of his daughters, Malia and Sasha. “@MichelleObama, I am grateful for everything you have done for our daughters and our family over the years. We love you,” he wrote in the caption of a photo showing them kissing.

Demi Moore shared several photos on her social media of her and her daughters, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, from her marriage to Bruce Willis. “I still remember the first time each of you were held in my arms. Look at you now.
