After the Prodiges show, which you won in January 2025, Eurovision! Nothing stops you anymore…

Monroe I don’t know yet. (Laughs) With ProdigiesI experienced incredible emotions. It was the first time that I performed on television, in public, in front of exceptional judges, accompanied by an orchestra. It was fascinating to discover the mechanics of such a program and to share my passion for classical with other young artists. We were a little family: we understood each other, we spent a lot of time together. This experience made me want to experience music.

This is the second time that France has sent a lyrical artist to Eurovision, after Amaury Vassili in 2011. Democratizing classical music, is this an important mission for you?

Of course! Eurovision has always been an incredible stage, where all musical styles mix. In my song Look at !people can hear pop, lyrical, with a musical comedy background… That’s everything I like. I am convinced that there are no barriers in music.

It’s important for me to defend this ideal

What does this title, Look!, symbolize, which you are going to defend during this 70th edition of the competition?

Universal love, which we sometimes miss. The world today is moving fast. I defend the idea that we are sometimes too busy to realize what is happening around us. But if we stop for a moment, if we allow ourselves a break, we can realize that love is everywhere. It’s reassuring. It’s a sign that ultimately everything will be fine. These are not just words: it is important for me to defend this ideal.

You were born in Salt Lake City, United States. You have everything of an American performer. A legacy of your paternal origins?

I’m not sure I can do everything at once! Did you really see me dancing? (Laughs) But that’s good, I’m learning. Not only performing on stage, but also working with artists, spending time in the studio, understanding the music business. This is very interesting.
