A few days before his climb to the Cannes Film Festival, Javier Bardem gave an interview to the American magazineVariety in which he talks about both his career and his private life. On display at L’Être Aiméby Rodrigo Sorogoyen, which will be presented in official competition in Cannes on Saturday May 16, the Spanish actor especially surprised by the tenderness of his declarations towards his wife, Penélope Cruz. “I feel so blessed to have the chance to live at the same time, in the same place as this woman,” he confides in this interview.

A story born on a movie set
The story between the two Spanish stars dates back to 1992, during the filming of Ham, ham. At the time, both actors were still at the start of their careers. However, it will be several years before they really get closer. In 2008, they shared the poster for the film Vicky Cristina Barcelonaby Woody Allen, alongside Scarlett Johansson. Their relationship then became official, before their marriage, celebrated discreetly in 2010. They have two children: Leonardo, 15 years old, and Luna, 12 years old.
