SHAWINIGAN. The project for an indoor entertainment center in Shawinigan was announced in our pages last summer, and it has now become a reality for the owners of Radicaboum Stéphanie Mathon and Alex Pagé with the grand opening this week.
The first to take advantage of the new facilities and diversified games offered by Radicaboum on Boulevard Royal were young people from primary school groups. “It’s fun to say that it was young people from schools who were able to live the experience first,†says Stéphanie Matton.
The couple and their team have worked hard over the past 20 days to complete the assembly of the different modules in the large two-story room.
“Overall it was good. It’s the finish that’s super long. The lack of labor combined with the finishing which really takes time meant that we shifted a little bit in the date that was planned for the opening. We were so eager to open because we feel so much enthusiasm around us. We feel that Radicaboum comes to meet a need in our community.â€
The colors and the two themes catch the eye when you enter Radicaboum. The games area shows blue colors with its water theme, while the relaxation area is rather tropical.
The site will be open from Tuesday to Sunday since Monday will be designated for complete cleaning of the facilities. “For us, the cleanliness of the premises is really important,” adds the co-owner.
Thematic events are also planned at various times. “There will be several themes, like disco happy hours. Radicaboum, it will transform into a festive place, disco, lights, games. This is truly going to be a unique place for families. We want parents to have fun, young people to have fun, and everyone to come together to have fun.â€
