The LFI mayor of Saint-Denis and Pierrefitte-sur-Seine spoke of a “popular insurrection” in the face of a possible victory of the RN in 2027, in an interview where he also increased the attacks against Emmanuel Macron, the media of the Bolloré group and the left-wing parties opposed to Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

In a long interview given to Oumma.comMuslim community media, Bally Bagayoko discusses a possible “popular insurrection” in the event of victory of the National Rally in 2027. The LFI mayor of Saint-Denis and Pierrefitte-sur-Seine is also increasing the charges against Emmanuel Macron, the Bolloré group media and certain left-wing parties.

“Either it’s us or it’s them (…), that is to say the extreme right”affirms the elected official during the interview. About ten minutes later, he said he had “the deep conviction that the people will rise” in the event of a victory for the nationalist right in the queen election. His interviewer then warns him: “Be careful, you will be accused of calling for insurrection, Mr. Bagayoko.” “All the important reforms in this country have been achieved through popular insurrection.”replies the elected official, citing the storming of the Bastille and the Yellow Vest movement.

“Under Macron, the far right has never been so strong”

During the interview, Bally Bagayoko also believes that Emmanuel Macron has allowed the nationalist right to prosper. “Under Macron, the far right has never been so strong. We almost have 140 racist deputies.”he says, referring to the RN elected officials in the National Assembly. Relaunched by his interviewer – «140 députés ?» – persists: “Racist, of course, necessarily”believing that they are “the proponents” of the history and doctrine of the National Front.

The mayor of Saint-Denis also criticizes Emmanuel Macron for having governed “At the service of a clan”evoking in particular the abolition of the ISF and the housing crisis. A few days earlier, the rebellious elected official had already made a name for himself after having taken down the portrait of the President of the Republic from his office at the town hall of Saint-Denis, a gesture which had earned him a call to order from the prefect of Seine-Saint-Denis.

Bally Bagayoko also shows its support for Jean-Luc Mélenchon for 2027 and calls for a union of the left behind La France insoumise. “The revolutionary left is rebellious France”he says, criticizing the “Lousy primary presentations” and targeting in particular the Socialist Party.

Rising figure of the new rebellious generation, Bally Bagayoko has become for Jean-Luc Mélenchon one of the symbols of his “New France”mixing working-class neighborhoods, heirs of immigration and abstentionist electorate. His election in Saint-Denis gave LFI its first city of more than 100,000 inhabitants.
