Cult character, Zize returns to light up Marseille with two highly anticipated events: a documentary never before seen at the cinema and a show as funny as it is touching at Cepac Silo. Behind this colorful figure, Thierry Wilson speaks with sincerity… and it feels good.
In Marseille, Zize is not just a character. It is a voice, an energy, a presence that brings people together. And this year, she returns stronger than ever, driven by news that resembles her: generous, true and profoundly human.

A documentary in cinema and television
First meeting not to be missed: the preview of the documentary “He Was a Zize”, at the Cinéma Pathé Joliette, on May 11. A film which finally lifts the veil on the man behind this emblematic figure. “I’m an actor, I play a woman… and I take responsibility for it,” Thierry Wilson asserts with confidence.
For more than a year, the cameras followed him in his daily life, on stage and in private. A total immersion that the artist approaches with humor: “I haven’t seen it yet… and I’m quite worried. Me, I don’t like myself, I don’t like seeing myself, I don’t like listening to myself… and there, I think I’m going to be served!’ But one thing is sure: it’s impossible to cheat. “When someone follows you for a year, you can’t put on an act… you show yourself as you really are.â€

Thierry Wilson, a portrait without filter
And it is precisely this sincerity that is touching. Spontaneous, whole, sometimes even a little sanguine as he says himself – “I’m Mediterranean, I throw things away and sometimes I regret them” – Thierry Wilson offers here an unfiltered portrait, a thousand miles from the clichés.
But Zize is also – and above all – the stage. And the Marseille public will have the pleasure of seeing her again on May 28 for 2 performances (3 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.) at Cepac Silo with her new show “IRRÉZIZETIBLE”.
A show where we find everything that makes the character interesting: spicy humor, everyday truths and a good dose of self-deprecation.

“Irrézizetible” at Cepac Silo… with a tribute to the “ChezMichou” cabaret!
This time, Zize faces an unavoidable stage in life: “She is experiencing what many women experience… she is asking questions about her body, about her life, with menopause.”
But there’s no question of giving up! Because Zize is a fighter. Even when everything is going out of control: “The same day, she learns that she is cuckolded… and that she is going to be a grandmother!” An explosive situation that she transforms into an irresistible comedy, between well-felt revenge and improbable situations.
Â
“Loyalty is important”
And as always, Thierry Wilson draws on reality to nourish his character: “I draw inspiration from everyday life. What Zize says is what people experience.” Result: a show in which everyone can recognize themselves, laugh… and sometimes even be moved.
Added to this is a nice surprise: a festive homage to cabaret, with a colorful first part. “We’re going to party… bringing all these figures together, it’s magical!”, he confides enthusiastically.
Beyond the stage, it is also a man deeply attached to his region who speaks. Between Marseille and the surrounding hills, he cultivates an essential balance: “I try to be happy… when you have health, you have to say thank you every day.” A simple, but precious philosophy, like his journey.
And above all, an unwavering bond with its audience: “I can’t imagine doing something here without you… loyalty is the most important thing.”
Between the emotion of the documentary at the Cinéma Pathé Joliette (May 11) and the energy of the show “IRREZIZETIBLE” at Cepac Silo (May 28 at 3 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.), Zize stands out as one of the great spring events in Marseille. A parenthesis of laughter, truths and human warmth not to be missed.
