Remiremont will launch in 2026 a new festival dedicated to emotions in cinemaThe city of Remiremont is preparing to host a unique cultural event. From November 5 to 8, 2026, the first edition of the Emotions Film Festival will bring together film buffs, film professionals and the general public around a program entirely designed around the sensations and emotions that films provide.

A unique event dedicated to the spectator’s feelings

Supported by the Passeurs d’Émotions association, this new festival intends to celebrate works capable of deeply touching the public. Comedies, dramas, thrillers, animated films, documentaries or short films will make up a varied selection, with a common objective: to provide a real experience emotional to the spectators.

The organizers wish to put collective sharing at the center of indoor projection, in a context where audiovisual content is increasingly viewed individually.

In parallel with the sessions, several meetings will enliven these four days: meetings with film teams, discussions, masterclasses and cultural activities.

Sophie-Marie Larrouy godmother of this first edition

Originally from the Vosges, Sophie-Marie Larrouy will actively participate in the event. The actress and podcaster will host the opening and closing ceremonies.

The organizers highlight its sensitive artistic universe as well as its attachment to the Vosges region, in perfect harmony with the spirit of the festival.

An identity strongly linked to the Vosges

Called “The Soul of the Sapins”, the festival boasts its local roots and its ambition to promote cinema culture in the Vosges. Several screenings should also be organized in other municipalities in the region in order to meet residents.

The heart of the event will take place at the cinema Cinema Majestic France.

Schools fully involved in the project

Image education will occupy an important place in this first edition. More than thirty schools will participate in workshops, educational sessions and meetings around cinema.

A short film competition will also be offered to students, from kindergarten to high school. The films made in this context will be screened during the festival.

A jury made up of young spectators will also award a specific reward.

Four distinctions awarded

The organization will be able to count on the commitment of around forty volunteers from the local cultural fabric. Four prizes will be awarded at the end of the festival: the Jury Prize, the Public Prize, the Young Jury Prize as well as the Emmanuelle Riva Prize, in tribute to Emmanuelle Riva.
