Taxi, Columbo, Tontons flingueurs: Peugeot brings back its movie legends!

Peugeot wants (and must at all costs) to rebuild the connection with the French people, and this also involves a significant investment in the cinema sector. The Lion is a partner of the Cannes and Alpe d’Huez festivals, as well as the César awards ceremony. The big game, therefore, is also highlighted by an exhibition that will run until October 30 at the Peugeot Adventure Museum in Sochaux, dedicated to – guess what – the seventh art.

Visitors rediscover models that have stood out on screen, from Columbo’s 403 convertible to the iconic 406s (from the Taxi series, not forgetting models whose commercials have left a mark, notably the 106 (“Darling, will you lend me your 106?” and 206, the latter being featured in the film The Sculptor (see below).

There is also a more immersive approach, with a focus on films such as Subway, Les Tontons Flingueurs, or Midnight in Paris (non-exhaustive list), in which Peugeot cars appear on screen. As for the Taxi saga, it even has a dedicated space, with the opportunity to sit in a car for a photo.

A friendly way to reconnect with the audience, especially since the richness of the venue goes beyond this temporary event. The museum showcases its wonders over an area of 8,000 m2, allowing visitors to discover around 130 vehicles, in addition to motorcycles, tools, and other household items that fully contribute to the “myth” of Peugeot. All the ingredients of an exhibition that shines… even if the PureTech engine is missing, which could have played a leading role in a horror film!
