In an interview published in the book “Mères et filles” by Ariane and Béatrice Massenet on Friday, April 24, 2026, Yasmine Lavoine Poniatowski discussed her professional projects. The 28-year-old artist also talked about the influence of her parents, Marc Lavoine and Sarah Poniatowski, on her life.
A need for escape led Yasmine Lavoine Poniatowski to move from Paris to Athens, Greece. She expressed, “Paris is no longer a city for me. It’s a crossroads of memories that I needed to leave behind to live more in the present, because I am very nostalgic.”
Despite feeling that her parents’ fame doesn’t weigh heavily on her, Yasmine admitted, “I feel like, whatever I do, I will always be linked back to my parents.”
Yasmine Lavoine Poniatowski revealed that she sometimes struggles to find her place, especially when her parents are such talented personalities.
In the artistic world, there are numerous career paths to pursue. Although Yasmine is artistically close to her father, Marc Lavoine, she has different aspirations. She expressed, “It’s not my dream to make it my job, and I don’t see myself taking someone’s place just because it’s easy for me to enter the field.”
While she prefers to be an actress, Yasmine has been focusing on her interest in photography. She is currently working on photographing the jewelry brand campaign for Marie Poniatowski, her aunt. Despite feeling stressed, Yasmine can rely on the support of her parents, who provided her with a gentle upbringing and made their home a sanctuary for her.
The couple, married for over 20 years, eventually divorced in 2018. Throughout their relationship, they welcomed Yasmine in 1998, followed by Roman in 2007, and Milo in 2010.
