On Saturday, April 11, a particularly large and intergenerational audience gathered in the festive hall of Baladou to have the great pleasure of discovering the talent of the music school teachers. They were all present, mobilized by the charismatic director and accordion teacher Frédéric Valy, to offer us this great premiere.
The evening offered a well-chosen alternation of traditional, modern, classical, jazz, rock music, where the teachers were always accompanied by one or more colleagues. They all revealed such talent for the occasion that they would all deserve to be mentioned.
After a pleasant gourmet break, among many other beautiful pieces, the audience was able to commune in the very moving “Armstrong” by Claude Nougaro, a beautiful call to fraternity, sung by Guillaume Valadi, with Sophie Marsaleix on trumpet, François Chanut on double bass, and Frédéric Valy on accordion.
The concert ended with the famous “Music” by John Miles, performed by the 12 teachers, a true anthem to music, which builds up to flourish in a musical fireworks display in front of a visibly enthusiastic audience.
