“Farewell president”. The Haut-Saônoise Association for the Safeguarding of Children and Adults (Ahssea) is in mourning. Its former president, Suzanne Lambert died on Friday June 5, 2026, at the age of 85. A Vesulian figure, Suzanne Lambert devoted her life to militant commitment, particularly towards young people. She contributed to local politics, since she was a municipal councilor for several years and also sat on the municipal social action center (CCAS).
A Life in Safeguard
Within La Sauvegarde, she leaves a great void among those who knew her well. “Joining in 1958 as a secretary when she was 18, she gradually climbed the ranks: executive assistant, principal general secretary, administrative director. She liked to say that she worked all her life from Monday to Saturday, without having taken a single day off, without ever going on vacation,” the association shares on its LinkedIn page. “His life was in Safeguarding. His work, his mission, his reason for being was to take care of “the guys”, that is to say the young people entrusted to us.
Suzanne Lambert took over as president of the association from 2009 to 2021. “After ensuring that she left the association in good hands, she continued to get involved and follow the affairs as secretary of the office, until her last breath. Rarely has someone counted so much in the life of an association. »
Officer of the National Order of Merit
Note also that Suzanne Lambert was elevated, in 2013, to the rank of officer in the National Order of Merit. She leaves the memory of a “bold”, “courageous” and “modest” woman. All our condolences.
