An invitation in the form of a message of support, one month after the first round of municipal elections (March 15). “We continue to be by your side to enable you to act,” Emmanuel Macron said, reiterating the promise of a government “uncompromising to protect all elected officials.”
“Simple and warm”
The event was organized in two parts. The afternoon was dedicated to workshops and conferences with government members. Four themes were proposed: security in territories, state-local government partnerships, everyday public services, and municipalities at the forefront of climate change.
Lindsey Deary and Nicolas Patriarche chose to focus on the security working group. “Civil, road, and crime prevention security,” explained Lindsey Deary. One of the roundtable discussions was led by Marion Aoustin-Roth, former deputy prefect of Oloron.
At the end of the event, the day concluded with a reception at the Elysée. “An institutional and solemn but also simple and warm moment with united mayors,” commented Lindsey Deary, who was able to exchange a few minutes with Emmanuel Macron and extend an invitation for an official visit to the Lacq area.
