No fatalities reported after Gray Ridge Estates hit by tornado

ENID, Okla. — About a dozen people were injured when Gray Ridge Estates in southern Enid was hit by a tornado Thursday night, April 23, 2026. No fatalities were reported as of 10 p.m., Jacob Price, Garfield County Emergency Management director, said.

Some people were pulled from the debris in Gray Ridge by Enid Police Department officers, who were the first to reach the scene, Enid Mayor David Mason said. Later, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers took over the search-and-rescue efforts to do a secondary grid search going through the damaged homes and surrounding area, he said.
