Laura Mabel Francatelli, a first-class passenger, wore the flotation device that was signed by her and other survivors. The auctioneers Henry Aldridge & Son in England sold it to an unidentified bidder. Additionally, a seat cushion from one of the Titanic lifeboats was sold for 390,000 pounds.
