The town of L’Isula unveils its rich cultural program for the summer season. From May until the end of September, a succession of talented artists will come to liven up the Paoline city, offering visitors and residents a true festival of creativity. From painting to sculpture, including tattooing and illustration, there will be something for everyone.
From the 15th to the 21st, local roots will be highlighted thanks to Gwen Lemasson, who will present superb illustrations dedicated to the heritage of Balagne. The end of June will be devoted to painting with the works of Cécile Massiani then Marcel Boos.
Un cÅ“ur d’été vibrant et éclectique
In July, art will continue to shine under the Corsican sun. After the paintings of Christian Vincensini at the beginning of July, the program has a nice original surprise in store: from July 13 to 19, visitors will be able to meet Pascal Acquaviva, tattoo artist, thus diversifying the range of arts represented.
The following weeks will give pride of place to the painters. Letidor and Claudine Vittecoq will follow one another to end the month of July. In August, Monique Yenco Fusella will take up residence for an extended exhibition lasting two weeks (from August 3 to 16). She will then pass the baton to Regis Parriaux, Monique Suzzoni, and finally Jean-Claude Suzzoni, who will make the transition to the month of September with his paintings.
The sweetness of the latter season
Art doesn’t stop with the start of the school year. In September, the city will continue to welcome creators to prolong the summer sweetness. Painting enthusiasts will be able to admire the works of Italo Favrega (from 7 to 13) and Mony Duprat (from 14 to 20).
Finally, to end this impressive cultural season in style, the duo composed of Jany Giacomelli and Dorothee Balestrini will offer an exhibition skillfully combining painting and sculpture from September 21 to 27.
