The first springboard organized by Salagou on stage kept all its promises. The winners, And Botanic, will be scheduled for the 2027 edition of the Rives du Salagou festival.

A show within a show. There will have been moments of jitters, magic, drama, mystery, reflection, surprises, suspense… until the deliverance: the announcement of the winners, which occurred late in the evening, around 9 p.m.
This Sunday, June 7, the Ruffes Sonores, a springboard organized by the Salagou festival on stage, kept all its promises. Six finalist groups, preselected from around thirty groups, were in the running for this first Clermont meeting intended to give a spotlight, and a boost, to the emerging Hérault scene.

A singular event

Far from a purely clinical moment between audition and competition, the meeting in the Brassens room had everything of a moment of communion. It was not a “simple concert” either, but a different, singular and lively moment. “Nearly 100 people came to attend the springboard. It’s a joy to see that residents of Clermont came to support artists, they understood the point well. It’s a total success. We feel that they are attached to the territory, to the local scene, to this breeding ground and, certainly, to the festival”measures Alexandra Boccadifuoco, president of Salagou on stage.

And the public was not mistaken. Because the musical proposals did much more than hold up. “The choice of artists was not easy for the jury. The quality of the projects proposed was generally homogeneous, with great proposals, which gave rise to real discussions”underlines Stéphane Déal, director of Sonambule who was part of the jury. “For a venue like Sonambule, artistic discovery remains essential. It is just as essential for a local festival like Salagou on stage, which fully plays its role in supporting local emergence”greets the director of the Gignacoise room. Shared feeling for Julie Laville, director of the Théâtre du Sillon, who was also part of the jury. “This springboard allows us to discover emergence in all its diversity and with a particularly eclectic selection. It was, I believe, very exciting for us, the jury, but also for the public.”
Especially since he will have had a say in deciding his price (see below).

Palmarès

As the members of the Ruffes Sonores* jury point out, the choice was not easy. But, this Sunday evening, Alexandra Boccadifuoco announced the winners of the first Springboard organized by the “Salagou en scène” festival and its team of volunteers. The rock group And Botanic won first place and will be scheduled for the 2027 edition of the festival. Rapper Tanis climbs to second place on the podium and will benefit from coaching from Hop Hop Hop consulting, with Jean-François Bonnier. Singer Leny Maz and his group placed third in this first springboard. The festival is committed to providing great visibility. Following a vote, the public prize was awarded to Solem who distills intimate folk enhanced with beautiful vocal harmonies. Note that Leny Maz also won Midi Libre’s favorite. We will therefore open our columns to him in the context of a portrait in a few weeks.

The jury: Julie Laville (director of the Théâtre du Sillon), Stéphane Déal (director of Sonambule), Camille Dudognon (Sonambule), Pascal Pace (director of the Clermont music school), Alexandra Boccadifuoco (president of the Salagou on stage festival). Jérôme Mouillot, journalist at Midi Libre, offered his favorite.
