The Bee Festival was a success. It all started on Saturday with a conference on bees given by Mathieu Lihorneau, researcher at the CNRS. A large audience and several young people asked many questions about bees and bumblebees during and after the session.

The next day, with a milder temperature than those of the previous days, a large audience came to the Sautel. An educational hive amazed the spectators like the president of the CCPO Marc Sanchez, one of its vice-presidents Léon Jeurissen, Franck Farez deputy mayor of Lavelanet. Led by Mayor Richard Moretto, they visited the numerous beekeepers’ stands but also that of the ANA and the “Haies Ariègeoises” which have recently been working for individuals. After a stop at the stand of Bernard Bergé which offers sculptures on wood and in bas – relief it was a stop at that of Julien Canet the animal photographer whose reputation is no longer to be done. Finally, everyone made a stop at that of Cathy Divine of Roquefort les Cascades who, in addition to magnetism, massages has recently offered a large collection of artisanal and quality perfumes.

Music, catering and a painting exhibition created by the Sautelains allowed visitors to complete the walk around the bees.
