Hidden in the heart of a restaurant, 08.08. is a new private club that fuses contemporary art, music and absolute discretion.
Marrakech, a city of lights and displayed addresses, is now home to a new kind of place, which cultivates secrecy as a founding principle. Far from the usual excitement, 08.08. presents itself as an exclusive speakeasy, accessible only through a hidden passageway in the kitchens of the Mizaan restaurant. More than a simple night bar, it is a private club designed as a confidential space where experience takes precedence over visibility, and where the cozy atmosphere invites selected meetings.
A private club based on co-optation
Access to 08.08. is deliberately restricted. Only members and their guests can enter the door of this intimate space. The ambition is not to create a mass place, but to constitute a community which grows slowly, according to affinities. The club aims to bring together a diverse population that shares the same taste for demanding cultural experiences, discretion and memorable moments. Artists, entrepreneurs, creatives and international travelers form the heart of this circle which favors authentic connections over worldly appearances. A nighttime art gallery
08.08. is conceived as a true creative laboratory, a hybrid space where disciplines interact. The interior architecture is punctuated by several works of contemporary art, creating an intimate gallery atmosphere. Among the artists on display is Sami Snoussi, represented by the Loft Art Gallery, whose work establishes a subtle conversation with the design of the place. This sharp artistic direction extends to details, such as the staff’s outfits, imagined and designed by Moroccan stylist Mina Binebine. Each element, from sound to visual aesthetics, is designed to contribute to a total immersion. The philosophy of the place, summarized by the words “SOUND”. where sound quality and artistic selection take precedence over everything else.
High gastronomy and culture in perspective
This project, presented as an evolving concept, does not intend to stop at its current form. The founders are already announcing “Chapter 3” on 08.08., which will begin at the start of the 2026 school year. This new phase will place haute cuisine and the contemporary artistic scene at the center of its offer. The program includes exclusive, limited-edition dinners in the form of residencies from internationally renowned chefs, called “Secret Table”. At the same time, a unique cultural program will highlight local and international talents, confirming the ambition of 08.08. to establish itself as an essential cultural reference for Marrakech nights. This address, which is shared in whispers, asserts itself as a new dimension of the Mizaan restaurant, cultivating a unique atmosphere for a circle of insiders.
