Engaged in all the post-war struggles, she founded eco-feminism and fought for equality. Through archives and stories, the author brings this free, radical and visionary figure back to life.

Spanish War: Democracy Assassinated

With François Godicheau, historian of the University of Toulouse – Jean Jaurès.

In July 1936, a coup d’état triggered the Spanish War, pitting Republicans against Francoist forces supported by Hitler and Mussolini. Both a civil and international conflict, it causes hundreds of thousands of deaths. Archives and testimonies today shed light on the origins of the conflict and the Franco dictatorship.

Africa since Greece: representations and perceptions of Africans in Greek antiquity

For a long time, black Africans were considered figures of “extreme” otherness for the ancient Greeks. This conference will return to these readings to show, based on images of vases and texts from the classical period, how Africa and black people are the subject of much more complex representations in Greek Antiquity.

The Atlas in Motion

This exhibition, presented in 2022 at the MUCEM in Marseille, brings together some of the work carried out by the artist Mathieu Pernot in collaboration with migrants. This project presents an alternative to stereotypical media stories by proposing to combine perspectives on the issue of contemporary migration. Annotated scientific documents, videos made by migrants and school notebooks punctuate the documentary work carried out by the artist over the past ten years in various emblematic places of the migration crisis.
