For three days, Saint-Andiol will take on the air of an American town. For the 4th time, from May 29 to 31 in the castle park, the American Fox Festival will immerse the public in an atmosphere mixing rock, blues, biker culture, country, US vehicles and vintage universe.
But behind the Indiana, motorcycles with large handlebars and the pin-ups, the organizers are mainly demanding “a big music festival“, insists Eric Lambertin, president of the American Fox Festival association. With his team from live performance and event technology, he has worked for more than thirty years behind the scenes of major cultural events via the Fox company, specializing in sound, light and video.
From the Chorégies d’Orange to the Avignon Festival, including productions at the Stade de France and abroad, he and his team have built a solid artistic and technical network over the years. “We work on concerts, theater, one-man shows… We know a lot of people in this environment.“
A musical program to match
Used to accompanying others, they finally decided to create their own event in 2023, around a common passion: rock and bikers. The festival gradually developed, until it found in Saint-Andiol an ideal location to continue its evolution.
The programming is built above all around the artists that the organizers themselves dream of seeing on stage. “We brought in Manu Lanvin, Laura Cox and Fred Chapelier, because we love this music. This year again, we wanted to keep this rock and blues identity.”
On the bill this year, the public will notably find John Chris Meyer, Emerald Moon, Nano & The Freaks, NATI, and Lord Bishop Rocks.
Around the concerts there is also a whole festive universe: burlesque show, pin-up entertainment, military village, tattoo artists, country demonstration with the Rebelles For Ever association, parade of American vehicles, motorcycle rides and activities for children. “Once people are there for the concerts, we want them to have an experience for the whole weekend“, explains the organizer.
After two first free editions then a third with participation aimed at consolidating the event, the association displays the ambition to place the festival sustainably in the local landscape while maintaining an accessible and popular spirit. “The goal is for this event to become unmissable and to continue to grow while remaining free.“, précise Eric Lambertin.
A united dimension
Note that the festival works primarily with actors from the region and associates several local structures with the event, including the Saint-Andiol festival committee and various associations invited free of charge for the occasion.
The solidarity aspect is also essential for the organizers. Over the years, several causes have been highlighted: school bullying, diabetes prevention and support for orphans of firefighters. Certain more discreet initiatives have also been highlighted, such as in 2025, with the presence of a tattoo artist specializing in restorative tattoos after breast cancer.
The traditional motorcycle ride will also take on a solidarity dimension: all of the profits will be donated to this cause. “We want the festival to be useful to the territory and associationsconcludes Eric Lambertin. The idea is that everyone can find their place there.”
Refreshment bar and food stand on site throughout the weekend.
