More than 80 artists met at La Plagette in Sète, for “Art takes off”, until Saturday May 16 in the evening.

Despite the wind which did not die down, the artists were indeed installed on the Quai de la Daurade, at La Plagette, this Friday, May 15 at 5 p.m., the opening time of the event. For this 12th edition of “Art takes off†, no less than 80 artists responded to the call from the Plagette district association.

All the artists are lined up facing the pond, and at Pointe-courte between drawings, sculptures and photographs. For the most fragile works, many artists have found refuge in the Plagette marine station. A good way to shelter, for a few minutes, from the gusts of wind.

Catering possible on site

A moment of sharing inaugurated by the mayor of Sète and his municipal team: “I am very happy to participate in this edition. Art invades La Plagette and invades Sète, which further confirms that it is a hotbed of culture.”Among the artists, a stage, benches and tables, as well as a few food stands to taste fried mussels, ginger shrimp and other dishes. The event continues this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
