BANGKOK – CULTURE: “À la Carte”, a show between theater, magic and music at the Alliance française

At the end of May and the beginning of June, the Alliance Française de Bangkok will host the show À la Carte, an original creation by the Théâtre des Invites combining theater, magic, dance and music in the unusual world of an imaginary restaurant.

The public will be invited to open the doors of the “Bouillon Étoilé”, a timeless establishment where each table becomes a stage and where human stories intersect throughout the meals.

Directed by Jean-Boris Roux, the show offers a succession of sketches, offbeat sketches, magic acts and musical interludes exploring with humor and tenderness the relationships that arise around a tablecloth, a dinner or an unexpected meeting.

The organizers promise a theatrical journey that is both funny and moving, where artistic disciplines meet in a deliberately abundant and warm atmosphere.

The result of significant collective work, À la Carte brings together around thirty artists mobilized around this production created in partnership with the Alliance Française de Bangkok.

The artists will perform the show in French with English surtitles to allow a large international audience to discover this creation.

Four scheduled performances:

Friday May 29 at 7:30 p.m.,
samedi 30 mai à 19h,
Saturday June 6 at 3 p.m.,
and Saturday June 6 at 7 p.m.

The organizers are offering places at 500 baht and a reduced rate of 350 baht for members and students.
