For the 5th edition of the meeting day for Vic’s classes who worked to raise awareness of Occitan, the weather was unfortunately not favorable. Faced with unfavorable conditions for carrying out outdoor activities, the organizers chose to put in place a fallback solution in order to maintain the event in the best possible conditions.
The morning was thus devoted to various interventions directly in the classes. The students were able to participate in story readings, discover several traditional instruments and take part in various games around the Occitan language. These activities made it possible to continue the work undertaken throughout the school year while providing a fun and enriching moment for the children.
The day continued with a kindergarten ball organized at COSEC at the end of the morning, then an elementary ball at the beginning of the afternoon. In total, nearly 200 students from the two schools participated in this festive meeting. Accompanied by musicians and a sound engineer, they discovered the warm atmosphere of a real Gascon ball. A friendly and unifying moment organized by the Regional Center for Teachers in Occitan du Gers and the Directorate of Departmental Services of National Education.
