The Vulnerati charity dinner was held this Wednesday at the Palais Niel, in Toulouse. For the first time, this evening of solidarity took place simultaneously in the Pink City and at the Hôtel national des Invalides, in Paris. Created in 2020, the event is intended to support bereaved families, widows, orphans as well as injured military personnel. He embodies the spirit of brotherhood that unites the soldiers of the Army and their entire community.
Organized as part of the month of the injured, this 2026 edition was expected to raise a total of nearly 450,000 euros on the two sites. In Toulouse, 130 guests from large regional companies and partner structures attended. The evening was under the sponsorship of former rugby international Thierry Dusautoir.
After the opening speech by General Benoît Desmeulles, the guests shared an exceptional dinner prepared by several figures of regional gastronomy. Among them, Gilles Goujon, the only three-star chef in Occitanie, Pascal Bardet, starred chef of the Lot, François Bourgon, Meilleur Ouvrier de France and cheese maker at Maison Xavier, as well as Christelle Brua, first woman elected best pastry chef in the world in catering. The meal also mobilized young students from hotel training establishments. The evening was marked by an auction held in duplex with Paris. Twenty-one lots were on offer, including alcohols from major estates, a work by contemporary artist Richard Orlinski and several exclusive experiences offered by the army. During the evening, two testimonies were to illustrate the action of Vulnerati. That of Lieutenant Xavier, who was only six years old, when his father lost his life during military training, having become a soldier in his turn, he underlines the importance of the financial, moral and fraternal support provided to his family. Another emblematic journey, that of Major Walter, seriously injured in Afghanistan in 2011. Thanks to the support he benefited from. for his physical and psychological reconstruction, he was able to rejoin the 3rd RPIMa in Carcassonne two years later and today continues his commitment within the army despite his disability.
