On the sidewalk of Cours Taulignan, the town immortalizes the autographs of artists who performed at the ancient theater or who resided in the town.
While some take a photo next to the plaque of their favorite celebrity, one of them has experienced a decline in popularity: that of Patrick Bruel, reports Le Dauphiné Libéré. With the succession of complaints and testimonies accusing the singer of rape and sexual assault, traders on the Walk of Fame noticed a change in the behavior of passers-by.
Spitting and insults
“Where people used to kneel to kiss the plaque, now I have seen people spitting, insults are common, some come and stamp with their feet”testifies one of the traders, who hopes that everyone’s expression of anger will not go any further. According to him, the plate became “Monsieur Bruel’s court, a release”.
In Dinard, in Ille-et-Vilaine, the singer’s plaque, placed on one of the famous white cabins which line the Breton beach, has disappeared, indicating West France. The town hall affirms that it is not at the origin of this kidnapping.
Concerning the municipality of Vaison-la-Romaine, contacted by Le Dauphiné Libéréshe did not wish to express herself.
