Four months. This is the time it took Ambre between her exit from the Star Academy castle on February 7 and the release of his first single this Friday June 5, 2026. Four months which can seem long when we see how quickly some of his predecessors have released a series of releases after their appearance on the TF1 show. But the winner of season 13 accepts it without complexes: she did the choice to take your timeagainst the advice of many. “I preferred to take my time to release my first single, despite the pressure, despite the people who pushed me to go faster”she explains to Parisian. And to go further in his remarks: “If I had rushed to release something right away, I would have screwed up.” “I wonder” is therefore available on all music platforms since today.

For the one who caused a sensation from the first premiere of the show, it’s not just a song: “This is my first artistic speech, the first time that I make the public listen to my universe, my vision. It’s a leap into the void”. The kind of formula that says a lot about the pressure she feels and the awareness she has of what is at stake. Obviously, in this interview, comparisons with the other revelations of the Star Academy could only happen… Pierre Garnier, Hélène, Marine or even Marguerite, so many names who found their audience quickly after the broadcast, with trajectories which are a reference. Their success is a driving force. I find it inspiringAmbre told our colleagues before setting a clear limit on what pressure she is prepared to accept.

Ambre refuses to compete with other Star Ac candidates

“It’s not because for the former Star Ac winners it worked by releasing music straight away that it was going to work for me”she explains bluntly. A way of saying that she took a good look at what had happened before her, thatshe learned lessons from it and she decided to chart her own course rather than mechanically reproducing what had worked for others.

And when we ask someone who likes to go against the grain if she hopes to do better than her elders, the answer is clear: “I don’t say to myself, ‘I hope I can do better.’ It’s no longer a competition. The competition is over. If we are in competition, it is with ourselves and we must not see artistic life as a battle.” At 19 years old, having this clarity about one’s own approach is rare enough to be underlined.

Amber in concert with her comrades

The timing of this release is not trivial. Indeed, Ambre is performing this Friday, June 5 in the evening in Saint-Étienne as part of the famous tournée de la Star Academy to many hard blows. It will perhaps be about her first opportunity to sing”I wonder” a live in front of an audience. But it is perhaps at the Zénith in Toulon that she will reserve this grand premiereduring the tour concert which will be broadcast tomorrow, Saturday June 6, live on TF1 from 9:10 p.m.

A meeting coming up particularly expected for those who follow its trajectory from the castle. There Star Academy has proven in recent seasons that she still knows how to launch real careers. Amber, in her own way, that is to say calm, thoughtful and not in hasteseems to have understood that duration is not built in a hurry. “I wonder” is a first answer and the rest will tell if she was right to take her time!
