Nurse Asalée of the Multidisciplinary Health Center (MSP) of Vieux-Boucau, Laetitia Etchegaray put all her energy into setting up this project, on this theme which is particularly close to her heart, with the help of Fleur Maioll, coordinator of the MSP. The objective is to raise awareness among the population on organ donation, which for many remains a taboo subject due to its connotation of death. The important thing is to de-dramatize the donation, to talk about it to your loved ones and to position yourself, knowing that everyone is presumed to be an organ donor. You should know that a donation can save seven lives.

The screening of the film will be followed by a debate with a doctor and nurses from the hospital coordination service for organ and tissue harvesting at the Dax hospital center. Through the Adot association (Association for the donation of human organs and tissues), the public will be able to benefit from testimonies from people who have been confronted with donation or who have benefited from a transplant. The association also financed the purchase of the film, which represents a certain cost.

This feature film directed in 2016 by Katell Quillévér© is an adaptation of the work by Maylis de Kerangal, a powerful and painful adventure which marks the heart and the souls. It all begins at dawn in a raging sea with three young surfers. Later, on the way back, it is the accident. Now hanging from the machines in a hospital in Le Havre, Simon’s life is nothing more than an illusion. At the same time, in Paris, a woman awaits the providential transplant that could prolong her life.
