Recherche d’un repreneur pour une ferme maraîchère bio à Loison-sous-Lens

Launched in 2020 during the Covid crisis, a organic market garden farm was established in the heart of the Ecocité 8 ZAC, an eco-district of the city, in Loison-sous-Lens, Pas-de-Calais. The current market gardener, Jonathan Bétermier, is packing up and will soon leave the region. A new buyer is actively being sought.

Who will take over the organic market garden farm in Loison-sous-Lens?

Located on 2.3 hectares at the core of the Ecocité 8 ZAC eco-district project, the organic market garden farm in Loison-sous-Lens “fully participates in the local sustainable food dynamic, particularly for supplying school meals,” emphasized the Lens-Liévin Agglomeration Community. Unfortunately, the current market gardener is leaving the region and the farm will be transferred by the end of 2026.

The farm offers numerous advantages, including a large usable agricultural area of 2.3 hectares, “Organic Farming” certification since 2020, diversified market gardening, an orchard planted in 2020 for growing apples, pears, cherries, plums, peaches, apricots, persimmons, figs, and small fruits, poultry farming, 4 storage bungalows, and secure access through a gate.

The estimated cost to take over the buildings and equipment is about 100,000 euros. Interested individuals can submit an application until April 1st. More information here.
