Seniors: Hope Definitively Gone
Traveling to Duran, 4th in the pool, the Mirandais had the obligation to bring back a result in hopes of a potential relegation. But the players of the Football-Club mirandais (FCM) had a rough 1st period, conceding 4 goals before halftime. After the break, a change in the system pays off and the Mirandais start playing better.
Mimale and then Decoucut quickly reduce the gap, but despite several opportunities, FCM fails to equalize and loses 4-2. A defeat that ends the last hopes of survival.
In Estang, the mirandaise reserve also had a tough match. Despite a strong start, the locals made the difference to win 5-1. Gomez Ventura had given hope with a free kick.
The youngsters end on a positive note. The U13 team II had a good final day at Gimont with two wins of 2-1 against L’Isle-Jourdain III and AGS II. These results allow the Mirandais to finish the D3 championship in 6th place out of 16 teams. The U11s, participating in the Gers Cup final in Auch, finished 11th in a competitive tournament.
The U15s from Entente Gers Foot Sud, close to a semi-final upset in the Gers Cup, made Auch, Gers D2 champions and a team from a higher level, doubt with their collective play.
But an opponent’s penalty after the break ultimately changed the match. In the final minutes, the Entente also got a penalty to equalize, but failed to convert it.
