On Saturday May 30 in Lodève, between the restaurant le Mangeur d’Étoiles on the Grand-rue and the wine/culture cellar la Méridienne des sens, rue Fleury, Armelle Letanneux and Mina de Suremain will offer their third edition of Voies sauvage.
At the Star Eater and the Meridian of the Senses
“We have been working on it since January, specifies Armelle from the Star Eater. Around thirty volunteers accompany us, at reception, the kitchen, assembly and dismantling… locals but also friends from elsewhere.”
The idea came from a trip to Paris made by Mina during which she visited the Mi-livre, mi-raisin trade show. The artistic coordinator, accompanied by Armelle Letaneux, the restaurateur, and Victoire Poirier, baker in rue de Lergue, embarked on this Lodevois project, joined by Hadj Madani, from la Méridienne des sens, to highlight the winegrowers.
A tasting of natural wines, made biodynamically, will take place between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. There will be 16 of them, coming from Corbières, Aude, Tarn, Pyrénées-Orientales, and around Lodève. Lots of women, young people. “We discover them, they tell their story, they meet each other. They are very warm”, said Armelle. A tasting fee of €10 will allow you to taste the different grape varieties, accompanied by Nicolas Bigand’s delicious toast. Angèle Grandgirard, actress, will read a plea for natural wine, written by a lawyer. Valérie Croiset, who worked at the Dijon wine university, will offer a tasting game open to all.
At the Méridienne des sens, Radio Lodève and the local bookstore Un Point Un Trait will invite Cécile to interview three winegrowers for From the Vine to the Feather: Catherine Bernard, former journalist at Libérationwho became a winemaker, wrote The abrupt (the wild vine), prose poetry; Once a year, Anne-Laure Sicard tells her clients about her feelings through the grapevine; Pauline Dupin-Aymard and Clara Debray will present a graphic novel about Muriel Zoldan. Finally, Nicolas Gardrat, winemaker and guitarist, and Manue Fleytoux, reader, will offer a text by René Daumal: The big drinking session.
A dancing evening hosted by DJ B-Duble-U will end this pleasant evening.
