The United States only needs “two weeks more” to reach all of their targets in Iran, assured Donald Trump in an interview recorded earlier in the week and broadcast on Sunday.
Interviewed by independent journalist Sharyl Attkisson, the American president also stated that the Iranians were “defeated militarily” and took the opportunity to once again mock his NATO allies by calling the alliance a “paper tiger.”
The publication of this interview comes as Iran announced on Sunday that they had responded to the latest American proposal to end the conflict triggered by Israel and the United States on February 28.
“They are defeated militarily (…) maybe they do not realize it, but I think they know,” assured Donald Trump to the journalist. And he added: “that does not mean they have had their last word.”
He suggested that the American army could “remain in place for two more weeks and strike all targets. We had some targets in sight, and we probably hit 70% of them, but there are still others we could hit (…) it would just be the finishing touch,” he declared.
He also commented on NATO, once again comparing it to a “paper tiger,” complaining that his allies had not been “there to help.”
