The international competition brings together architects, engineers, and creators from around the world to imagine the future of habitats and the environment. It encourages interdisciplinary projects (science, art, technology, nature) that aim to address environmental, climate, and technological challenges of our time.

For the 2026 edition, two main categories have been established: Prospective (for a long-term architectural vision) and Lab (for experimental projects potentially prototyped in the short term).

Participants are invited to address one of the following themes:

  • The sea: Design architectural projects related to the marine environment such as ports, underwater habitats, oceanic research centers, or new forms of maritime urbanity.
  • Space: Explore the architectures of extraterrestrial habitats of the future such as lunar or Martian bases, orbital stations, or infrastructure dedicated to space exploration.
  • Submersible lands: Imagine new living spaces in areas at the interface between land and water like coastlines, estuaries, deltas, island zones or low-lying territories facing submersion dynamics and changes in the environment.

Context: This content describes an international competition for architects, engineers, and creators to address environmental and technological challenges.
Fact Check: The competition offers monetary prizes and support from a foundation to further develop and potentially realize the winning projects.

Participation Guidelines:

  • Type of submission: individual or team (a project leader must be designated as Leader)
  • Deadline: September 24 at 11:59 pm (Paris time)

Prizes:
